Flossie's Family Session at Arger Fen, Suffolk | Grace Elizabeth | Colchester, Essex Alternative Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer
Katie and Jono had the perfect little girl, Flossie, and what a cutie she is (you'll get to see her in a minute!) But sadly, her first few months on the planet were met with illness, meaning that the family didn't have a chance to do those family portraits they envisioned in the early days. Thankfully, Flossie soon became a lot better, so we headed to the beautiful Arger Fen on the Essex and Suffolk border for their family photographs when she turned around six months old.
I know from personal experience as a photographer, and from seeing friends have their own families, that sometimes, newborn sessions just aren't possible. The window for newborn portraits is really quite small; I usually suggest taking them within the first seven to ten days of baby's arrival (they're the most sleepy and therefore cooperative at this time!), but sometimes, life gets in the way, and you can't always book in with your photographer. But, fear not! I actually love a session with a slightly older baby. Their little characters are just developing, they're starting to smile more, and they can be super alert - meaning we can head out to pretty locations to do those timeless family photographs.
Without further ado, I will leave you with Flossie's family session - and what a cutie she is!
