Amanda and Vic's Boho Festival Wedding at Hedingham Castle | Grace Elizabeth | Colchester, Essex Alternative Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer
Amanda and Vic married at the beautiful, prestigious Hedingham Castle in July last year (yes, I too cannot believe I have only just got around to blogging their beautiful day!) in what was one of the most beautiful weddings of my career to date.
When I received the initial text messages from Amanda about her wedding plans, they were filled with love hearts, sunflower emojis and kisses - I knew right away she would be such a wonderful spirit. We spoke extensively on the phone about the plans for the wedding day (it turned more into a chat, to be honest!), and right from the get-go I knew they would be an absolutely amazingly relaxed couple with a beautiful wedding to match.
Having had a traditional Hindu blessing in Bali, a place Amanda considers her spiritual home, their formal wedding in the UK was to be a relatively intimate affair, in the candle-lit Hedingham Castle. They celebrated with 40 of their closest friends and family, and many of the guests had travelled far and wide for the celebrations! All of the ladies wore white, in-keeping with the beautiful Amanda - they all looked divine!
Amanda wore a stunning lace gown from Abigail's Collection (one of my favourite bridal shops!), had gorgeous blooms from Serenity Flowers, hair was done by the equally talented Lisa Curtis of Gemini Styling and makeup by the wonderful Emma Brooke.
The second part of the wedding took place a few days later, down the road from the couple's house, in a huge field. They had essentially set up their very own 80s boho festival and had invited lots of friends and family to join in! From Amanda's arrival in her own Land Rover, to her dad doing tarot readings (which he got very accurate, might I add), to handmade decor, to banging 80's tunes - it was absolutely so much fun!
I will leave the photos to speak for themselves!
Thank you, Amanda and Vic, for asking me to be your photographer. I am so glad to be able to consider you friends, too!
