Jess and Tom's Boho DIY Norfolk Countryside Wedding | Grace Elizabeth | Alternative Wedding Photographer, Colchester, Essex

So, you want to have a beautiful wedding on a budget, but without losing the frills? That's exactly what Jess and Tom did for their absolutely stunning bohemian, alternative wedding day this Norfolk in June, and it looked absolutely wonderful!

Jess and Tom got in contact with me earlier this year, and I was so excited when we finally got to meet up and chat over a hot chocolate in Starbucks in Norwich. I travel all over the country for weddings, but I have to say, Norfolk has a bit of a special place in my heart. It's just like Devon only a bit closer! The newly engaged couple explained to me how the absolute focus of their day was about friends and family and having a good time, but they wanted to make their wedding as affordable as possible, too, without skimping on the usual luxuries that came with a wedding. They were super fortunate to have lots of help from family and friends, including Tom's nanny, who made their cake, hair and makeup by her aunt and sister-in-law, her dad's Triumph car, which was going to be her wedding car long before she had even got engaged, to the bar, made by her grandad and finally to the band, who were friends (and Tom even sang himself!)

However, for them, one of the most important people to get right for their day, was their wedding photographer, and, having studied photography herself, I knew that Jess would have high expectations! After having shown a few galleries to them both in Starbucks, they decided there and then that they wanted to book me! I was quite taken aback and not sure what to say, as it totally caught me off guard!

Fast forward to June, and oh my goodness I just don't have enough words to describe how amazing their wedding was! From groom prep with the guys who were totally laid back and couldn't stop laughing, to bridal prep with the girls (I do love this part - all the makeup, hair, dresses and jewels get my creative mind buzzing!), to the beautiful, touching ceremony itself at their local Kingdom Hall, to the abundance of lovely family and friends who posed for group shots, to Jess and Tom themselves, who were absolute models during their couple session (the connection they have exceeds something way beyond their years) to the amazing Thai food, to the tear-jerking, belly-laughing speeches, and finally their sweet first dance. ALL of it was perfection.

I have tried SO hard to whittle this gallery down into just 100 of my absolute favourites from across the day, and I do hope they will give you an insight into what was one of my favourite weddings of my career to date.

Thank you Jess and Tom, for your trust, hospitality, and kindness. I wish you all of the best for your futures as Mr and Mrs Donnelly!

I hope you like them! If you'd like to, you're more than welcome to keep up to date with the latest news over on my newsletter! Here is the link!

Love always,

Grace xo
