Family Session With Twins at Crow Point Beach, Devon | Barallon Family | Grace Elizabeth, Colchester, Essex Alternative Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer

A family session with not one, but two one year olds! This was a first for me!

Bex, the twin boys’ mum, is the loveliest and she has followed my work for quite a long time, but the only hitch? She and her family all live in Devon! The last time I was in Devon, we couldn’t work out a day where we were both free to do a shoot, but things worked out in the end! It just so happened that I was back in Devon in April, the boys had just celebrated their first birthday, and their grandmother was visiting all the way from Australia, so it was the perfect time to do a shoot!

After a bit of a reschedule because of pesky tide times, we finally got to meet and explore the beautiful Crow Point in Braunton together. I say explore, because we definitely explored. I think on that day alone we walked about 2 miles, which was no mean feat when you have two little ones to carry! Thank you Bex, Phil and Tina for being so amazing about all of the walking!

We also had an elderly border collie spend his time with us on the day. We don’t know where he came from, but he found us and followed us around, getting me to throw a stick in between shots. After a phone call to the owner on his collar which read ‘If found, please ring this number’ the owner told us he liked to mooch around and would come home when he was happy. In fact, the more people I’ve spoken to, the more this furry pup seems to be a regular when people visit the beach. My boyfriend works quite close to the beach and has even said the dog has come into his work, so it was lovely that he decided to spend a few hours with us too!

We had the loveliest time in the sun, and the boys were such characters, I love this age because their personalities are really beginning to shine, but I also love the bond they had between one another. In the very first frame you’ll see what they do when they’re told ‘cuddle’ - it was too cute!

Thank you to you, the Barallon family, for having me take your family photos and for dealing with all of the exploring. It was just the best! I shall leave your kind words at the bottom of this post, too!As always too, if you’d like to get the latest news and special offers, you can join my newsletter here!

Love always,

Grace xo

We booked Grace to take some photos of our twin boys when their 'Nonna' was over from Australia to capture these memories as she doesn't get to see them very often. The photos were just perfect, they highlighted each of the boys' individual personalities and they are just so beautiful and natural.

I know how hard it can be taking picture of one little one let alone two!! But Grace accepted the challenge and the outcome is countless amounts of gorgeous photos!!

I chose Grace because of her specific style of photography as it is so effortless and natural and it was a bonus that she travels to Devon regularly!

All the walking was definitely worth it, thank you!
