Frequently Asked Questions

I would love to live in a world where everything was straight forward, and it is my ambition to be as transparent as possible! So, with that said, here are some of the most common questions I get asked! I hope this may help you, and please feel free to contact me with any further queries you may have!

What is the booking process?

So, you think you want to book?! Fab! Just head on over to my contact page above, and fill out the form. Please fill in as much information as you can - the more you provide me with, the easier it makes the process! Then, once that's sent, I'll get in touch, we will then arrange a chat / coffee date (or tea and cake date - I'm that kinda girl!). Once you want to make it official, you'll define your package, I'll send you a contract, you'll send me it back, all signed, with a non-refundable retainer and TAH-DAH! You're booked! Welcome to the family!

How do I receive  my images?

I'm old school. That means a USB stick in a beautifully-presented eco-friendly box. As of 2018, I have also begun adding digital galleries to your package, too! You always receive a high resolution set of images ready for printing, canvasing, doing-what-you-want-ing and then a set of lower resolution ones, perfect for posting to your social media accounts!

When do I get my photos?

For lifestyle sessions, the wait is around 2-4 weeks, but for weddings, dependant on how busy the season is, it is generally between 4-8 weeks.

We think we will be awkward in front of the camera... is that okay?!

Do not panic! I have people query this all the time, and then after I've photographed you, more often than not I hear 'wow, we didn't even realise you had a camera!' which you may think to be strange, considering undoubtedly anyone would definitely see a big metal thing with a pointy lens, right? Well yes, but the good news is, I am pretty unobtrusive. A bit of a ninja, if you will. I don't like to get up in your grill, and I actually love people who are awkward and shy - no Vogue model poses are needed! This is why it's so important that we meet, so that you get to know me, and likewise, and all in all you'll end up forgetting I'm even there at all! Failing that, if you're super nervous, you're welcome to bring along some dutch courage - I don't judge!

Are you insured?

Yes indeed! Which is probably good because I will usually be found climbing on inanimate objects to get the best shots (spoiler alert, I am 5ft tall, but don't let that dissuade you!)

Do you travel?

Yes! I offer destination weddings for those of you who want to take me along with you on your elopements and destination weddings, but I also LOVE to get out and see and explore new places for any kinds of photography, so just contact me about your vision!

We really want you to be our photographer, but WE ARE WORRIED you'LL BE a little out of our price range...

Okay, let's talk figures. I know planning a wedding is expensive, I understand. For that reason, my door is always open to discuss pricing. I have a few tips that may help you to plan your wedding a little cheaper, in the meantime!
1 - Have an 'off peak' wedding. That means sometime between November and April. Often times wedding venues will reduce their rates during the 'off season' and this would be great opportunity to have your dream day without breaking the bank!
2 - Have your wedding on a Friday or Sunday! Yes, traditionally a wedding is on a Saturday, but what's stopping you booking a Friday, Sunday, or any other weekday? Again, often venues reduce their rates for days other than Saturday's.
3 - Last minute wedding? If you're last minute and I am available, I will do my best to accommodate your pricing. However, if you're booking 9+ months out, save, save, save! Your wedding photos are one of the few remaining things you will have from your special day, so please do consider booking your photographer as early as possible. That said, if you're totally struggling, don't be afraid to ask me, I don't bite!
